Saddle up, adventurers—this isn’t just a ride, it’s a full-blown escapade!


Join Tavie as he leads a charming caravan down the winding, drama-free backroads on
the Great Non-Interstate Odyssey to Big Lynn Lodge. No interstates? No problem.
We’re swapping traffic jams for actual jams (Tavie’s playlist slaps), and billboards for
roadside cows with judgmental stares.


Pit Stop! Around lunchtime, we roll into Elkin, NC—home of gas station pizza that might
change your life and diners that haven’t updated their decor since Elvis had a comeback
tour.


Your estimated seat time is around 5 hours, which includes snack detours, scenic photo
ops, and the inevitable philosophical roadside chat about “what IS a lodge, really?”


Total mileage clocks in at 240, give or take the occasional “oops, missed that turn.”
Arrival at Big Lynn Lodge is fashionably around 4:00 PM, just in time to stretch, snack,
and question your GPS’s life choices.
