Thank you for taking a moment to look into Raleigh H.O.G. – the greatest Harley Davidson H.O.G chapter in the world!  Our mission statement is very simple – Let’s Ride And Have Fun!

We are one of the largest chapters with over 700 members from all walks of life!  Our sponsor, Ray Price Harley Davidson, is by far the greatest dealership in the world and the supporting relationship between our chapter and our dealership is the envy of most H.O.G. chapters.  I invite you to be our guest at a future meeting and learn more about who we are and what we do.  I’m confident that you’ll like what you see and become a chapter member.

General Meetings
Our general meetings are held at the dealership on the first Thursday of each month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.  We encourage first time attendees to stop by our Visitor/New Member kiosk on meeting nights so that we can get to know you, show you around, and introduce you to other members.  The kiosk is located just inside the dealership’s main entrance on meeting nights.  Many members elect to have dinner as a group at a nearby restaurant afterwards.  Visitors are invited to join us for dinner.

We’re all about riding and having fun and our activities calendar supports that mission. Chapter activities include:

·         Weekly rides on the 1st and 3rd Saturday and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month,

·         Dinner rides on the 3rd Wednesday each month, March through October,

·         Annual overnight rides such as our Yadkin Valley Wine Country Tour weekend, Tame The Dragon weekend, Bourbon Tour weekend, Octoberfest weekend, and NC State H.O.G. Rally,

·         Other daily or overnight theme rides as members elect to schedule them,

·         Social activities such as our Valentines Party, Chili Challenge, Homecoming, summer picnics, Halloween Party, Christmas Dinner, and New Year’s Eve Party.

Most activities are scheduled during quarterly planning meetings.  All members are invited to attend and volunteer to a lead ride or host an activity.  We provide help and support for anyone wanting to lead a ride through our Road Captains and Safety Officer.  Help and support for hosting an activity is provided through our Activities Director and Social Chairs.

Our dealership has a rewards customer loyalty program.  With each purchase, points accumulate which can be redeemed later for dealership purchases.  A key advantage to becoming a Raleigh H.O.G member is that the points accumulation rate increases with chapter membership and participation.

Our monthly newsletter is a first class publication and includes information that will keep you well informed of what’s going on.  It’s distributed electronically and contains contact information for both elected and appointed officers, our chapter activities calendars for the current and following month, dealership activity information, and articles written by officers and members.  Everyone is invited to submit articles relative to their riding experience.  This always makes for interesting reading for our membership.

Ladies Of Harley

Ladies Of Harley (LOH) is also a part of our chapter.  Women who have an interest in riding either as a passenger or driver are encouraged to join our LOH.  LOH has their own set of meetings, activities, and rides.  Occasionally, they invite the men to come along.  Our LOH meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6pm.  Meeting locations vary; visitors and new members are always welcome.

Every year, our chapter elects to raffle a new Harley Davidson motorcycle with the net proceeds going to multiple charities.  Our raffle season begins in September and ends in April with our dealership’s Spring Open House.  Member participation in our raffle is strictly voluntary.

Our LOH supports an additional group of charities through several fund raising activities which include pancake breakfasts, Christmas gift wrapping, and others activities.  Member participation in LOH fund raising activities is strictly voluntary as well.

Group Riding

We know new members may be hesitant about participating in our group rides.  We want to help you through that barrier.  Safety is paramount in our group rides and having fun is a close second!

Our chapter strictly follows the group riding guidelines established by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) – the same organization that created the Basic Rider Course taught in many community colleges and Harley Davidson’s Riding Academy (formerly Riders Edge).  If you are not familiar with MSF’s guidelines, our Safety Officer conducts quarterly ‘Get Acquainted Rides’ to familiarize members with those guidelines.  Each ride consists of an hour of classroom discussion followed by a group ride to practice what’s been learned.  These rides have been well received in the past.  I encourage you to approach any officer, our Safety Officer, and our Road Captains with any group riding questions you may have.
